After exposure of a stringent strain to this drug, the intracellular concentrations of guanosine 3'-diphosphate 5'-diphosphate (ppGpp), guanosine 3'-diphosphate 5'-triphosphate (pppGpp) and ATP increased, while that of GTP decreased.
