Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Molecular basis for PrimPol recruitment to replication forks by RPA
PrimPol is a multifunctional replicative enzyme that can bypass DNA damage, as well as reprime replication restart. Here, the authors have elucidated how PrimPol is recruited to stalled replication forks via specific interactions with RPA, which ...

Wall deflection induced by pre-excavation dewatering under different construction conditions
The existing field measurements show that the deformation of retaining wall and surrounding environment induced by pre-excavation dewatering can reach centimeter level, but the relevant researches are still less.

Stability of Structured Hamiltonian Eigensolvers [PDF]
This work concerns the stability of structured Hamiltonian eigensolvers. The structured backward errors are defined. By introducing the symplectic quasi-QR factorization, the structured backward errors can be efficiently computed. A detailed rounding error analysis of some Jacobi-like algorithms is also given.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

The Stoichiometric Interaction of the Hsp90-Sgt1-Rar1 Complex by CD and SRCD Spectroscopy
While the molecular details by which Hsp90 interacts with Sgt1 and Rar1 were previously described the exact stoichiometric complex that is formed remains elusive. Several possibilities remain that include two asymmetric complexes, Sgt12-Hsp902-Rar12 (two

Transition mechanism for a periodic bar-and-joint framework with limited degrees of freedom controlled by uniaxial load and internal stiffness [PDF]
A specific periodic bar-and-joint framework with limited degrees of freedom is shown to have a transition mechanism when subjected to an external force.
