60Co irradiation of Shiga toxin (Stx)-producingEscherichia coliinduces Stx phage [PDF]
Shiga toxin (Stx)-producing Escherichia coli (STEC), an important cause of hemolytic uremic syndrome, was completely killed by (60)Co irradiation at 1 x l0(3) gray (1 kGy) or higher. However, a low dose of irradiation (0.1-0.3 kGy) markedly induced Stx phage from STEC. Stx production was observed in parallel to the phage induction.

A conductive ZrB2 ceramic composite strategy was developed for Mg3(Sb, Bi)2 thermoelectrics to regulate carrier transport and phonon scattering through heterointerface engineering. The 1.0 wt.% ZrB2 composite achieved enhanced room‐temperature performance, with a power factor of 28.51 µW cm−1 K−2 and a peak ZT of 1.22 at 573 K.
