A Large‐Area Broadband Multimodal Dual‐Resonant Haptic Device for Bidirectional Telerobotic and Augmented Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a large‐area bidirectional human–machine interface integrating electrostatic multimodal tactile sensing with a dual‐resonant haptic actuator. The system enables linear pressure sensing that is decoupled from actuation and stable broadband vibrotactile feedback under dynamic contact conditions, supporting real‐time feedback modulation aligned

Self‐Sensing Artificial‐Muscle‐Empowered Humanlike Perception, Interaction, and Positioning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
The proposed self‐sensorized artificial muscle (SSAM) can sense its length change as small as 0.01 mm via a seamlessly integrated multi‐segment induction coil. The SSAM provides accurate length information regardless of its loadings, driving pressure, or muscle design, adequate for robust data‐driven feedback control.

Hardware-in-the-loop simulation of massive-payload manipulation on orbit

open access: yesROBOMECH Journal, 2018
This paper describes a hardware-in-the-loop simulation of massive-payload manipulation on orbit using a master–slave teleoperation system. The main problems in teleoperating a space robot arm from the earth to manipulate a massive payload are ...

Failure-Distribution-Dependent H∞ Fuzzy Fault-Tolerant Control for Nonlinear Multilateral Teleoperation System with Communication Delays

open access: yesElectronics
In practice, the time-varying communication delays and actuator failures are the main inevitable issues in nonlinear multilateral teleoperation systems, which can reduce the performance and stability of the considered systems.

Microrobotic Catheterization of the Ophthalmic Artery for Targeted Treatment of Retinoblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A microrobotic platform is presented that allows teleoperated and autonomous navigation of flow‐driven magnetic microcatheters, MagFlow, into the ophthalmic artery for superselective intra‐arterial infusion of chemotherapy to treat retinoblastoma. Extensive benchtop validations with patient‐derived biomimetic phantoms under optical and fluoroscopic ...
