Anti-inflammatory effect of dental pulp stem cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) have received a lot of attention as a regenerative medicine tool with strong immunomodulatory capabilities. The excessive inflammatory response involves a variety of immune cells, cytokines, and has a considerable impact on

A comparative analysis of NLRP3-related inflammatory mediators in synovial fluid in temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis and internal derangement

open access: yesBMC Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2021
Background The nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome signaling pathway is a highlighted topic in the field of inflammation. However, there is little research on the relationship between the

Sel1l preserves condylar cartilage matrix homeostasis by regulating PERK signaling

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Our study revealed that the expression of Sel1l was downregulated in OA cartilage and that Sel1l deficiency induced cartilage catabolism. Mechanistically, Sel1l depletion aberrantly activated PERK signaling and resulted in ER stress. PERK inhibition rescued the phenotype of Sel1l‐deficient chondrocytes and alleviated TMJOA pathogenesis.

Divergent chondro/osteogenic transduction laws of fibrocartilage stem cell drive temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis in growing mice

open access: yesInternational Journal of Oral Science, 2023
The anterior disc displacement (ADD) leads to temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA) and mandibular growth retardation in adolescents. To investigate the potential functional role of fibrocartilage stem cells (FCSCs) during the process, a ...

Comparing Traditional Versus AI‐Assisted TMJ Disorder Management Approaches: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 12, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective This systematic review and meta‐analysis compared traditional diagnostic approaches with artificial intelligence (AI)‐based techniques for temporomandibular joint disorders (TMDs) and evaluated their diagnostic accuracy. Methods Literature searches across PubMed‐MEDLINE, Scopus, Embase, Cochrane, and Google Scholar identified studies
