Adaptive second-order nonsingular terminal sliding mode power-level control for nuclear power plants

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology, 2022
This paper focuses on the power-level control of nuclear power plants (NPPs) in the presence of lumped disturbances. An adaptive second-order nonsingular terminal sliding mode control (ASONTSMC) scheme is proposed by resorting to the second-order ...

An Adaptive Terminal Sliding Mode Control for Robot Manipulators With Non-Singular Terminal Sliding Surface Variables [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper presents an adaptive terminal sliding mode control (TSMC) algorithm for robot manipulators. The contribution of our control method is that the suggested controller can enable the advantages of non-singular TSMC such as non-singularity, high robustness, small transient error, and finite time convergence. To develop the suggested system, a non-

A Terminal-Sliding-Mode-Based Frequency Regulation

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, a terminal reaching law based sliding mode control SMC method for load frequency control LFC is investigated in interconnected power systems in the presence of wind turbines and generation rate constraint GRC. Neural networks are adopted to compensate the entire uncertainties.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
