Adaptive Second Order Recursive Terminal Sliding Mode Control for a Four-Wheel Independent Steer-by-Wire System

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
An adaptive second order recursive terminal sliding mode (SO-RTSM) is developed for the steering angle control of a four-wheel independent steer-by-wire (4WI-SbW) system.

Nonlinear Nonsingular Fast Terminal Sliding Mode Control Using Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Background: As a control strategy of industrial robots, sliding mode control has the advantages of fast response and simple physical implementation, but it still has the problems of chattering and low tracking accuracy caused by chattering.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Fin stabilizer control strategy based on adaptive sliding mode

open access: yesApplied Ocean Research
Ships are typically equipped with fin stabilizers to effectively weaken ship’s roll and enhance the voyage's safety. To achieve better anti-roll performance, this study proposes an adaptive sliding mode control (SMC) method for a roll reduction ...

Sudden anaerobization in Amphibacillus xylanus increases intracellular labile ferrous iron and inhibits cell growth

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

Terminal Sliding Mode Control with Sliding Perturbation Observer for a Hydraulic Robot Manipulator

open access: yesIFAC-PapersOnLine, 2018
Abstract A new design approach of sliding mode control with terminal sliding mode and sliding perturbation observer for a hydraulic robot manipulator is described in this paper. A sliding perturbation observer can observe the unknown states and disturbance.

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...
