The Vascular‐Immune Cells Crosstalk and Microenvironment in Pulmonary Hypertension

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 16, Issue 1, February 2026.
This review synthesizes current evidence showing how vascular–immune cell crosstalk and microenvironmental cues shape pulmonary vascular remodeling in pulmonary hypertension. We provide an integrative perspective that positions disrupted cellular communication as a central driver of disease progression and a promising source of future therapeutic ...

Beyond bacterial defences: the role of lysozyme in cancer

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
Lysozyme (LYZ) is a multi‐functional secreted factor that encompasses both antibacterial and immunomodulatory functions. Emerging evidence highlights its complex role in tumour progression by directly influencing tumour cells and modulating the immune microenvironment.

Causal Effect of Dietary Patterns on Cerebral Small Vessel Disease: A Mendelian Randomization Study

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
This Mendelian randomization (MR) study reveals causal links between dietary factors and cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) neuroimaging markers. Genetically predicted higher polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) levels reduce white matter hyperintensity volume, while monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) intake lowers lobar brain microbleeds (BMB) risk.

Advances in the Role of Adipose Tissue in Promoting Injury Repair and Resist Infection

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background In recent years, adipose tissue (AT) transplantation has increasingly been noticed by many people in the field of tissue repair and regeneration. Accumulating evidence demonstrates that AT exerts dual functions in promoting tissue repair and conferring anti‐infective properties, with distinct biological effects attributed to its ...
