Salmonella Pullorum strains in China are categorized into three phylogenetic clades. Clade 1 strains have all been isolated in the past 15 years. The population size of S. pullorum in China saw a significant decline between 2003 and 2016, reflecting the effectiveness of purification efforts.

Tigecycline is considered a last‐line therapeutic option for treating infections caused by multidrug‐resistant (MDR) Gram‐negative bacteria. The emergence of tmexCD1-toprJ1, a plasmid‐mediated resistance‐nodulation‐division (RND) efflux pump gene cluster, poses a growing threat to tigecycline efficacy.

Design, potential and limitations of conjugation‐based antibacterial strategies
Highlighting of innovative non‐antibiotic strategies, specifically CRISPR‐based systems delivered via bacterial conjugation. Abstract Over the past few decades, the global spread of antimicrobial resistance has underscored the urgent need to develop innovative non‐antibiotic antibacterial strategies and to reduce antibiotic use worldwide.
