Retinoic acid as a modulator of T cell immunity [PDF]
Indexación: Scopus. DOAJ.Vitamin A, a generic designation for an array of organic molecules that includes retinal, retinol and retinoic acid, is an essential nutrient needed in a wide array of aspects including the proper functioning of the visual system,

Th1/Th2 in aspergillosis [PDF]
The outcome of the Th1/Th2 balance is a critical determinant of the outcome in invasive aspergillosis. The innate immune system encounters the pathogen first. Dendritic cells (DC) appear to be the critical fulcrum at the intersection of the innate immune system, and which receptors are engaged, particularly which Toll-like receptors are triggered by ...

Role of CD20+T lymphocytes in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis
CD3+CD20+T lymphocytes are a population of T cells that, along with standard T cell markers, express the atypical membrane molecule CD20 (a traditional B cell marker).

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

AimsMicroRNA-451a (miR-451a) regulates Th1/Th2 cell differentiation, inflammation, and septic organ injury in several experiments. Therefore, the present study aimed to explore the inter-correlation of miR-451a with the Th1/Th2 ratio, and their ...

ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by antibody‐mediated complement activation. Efgartigimod, a neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) antagonist, is approved for treating generalized MG (gMG). However, its modulatory effects on upstream innate and adaptive immune cells remain largely unexplored.

Isoprenoids determine Th1/Th2 fate in pathogenic T cells, providing a mechanism of modulation of autoimmunity by atorvastatin. [PDF]
3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase is a critical enzyme in the mevalonate pathway that regulates the biosynthesis of cholesterol as well as isoprenoids that mediate the membrane association of certain GTPases.

Further Checkpoints in Th1 Development [PDF]
Tight control of Th1 immunity is essential to prevent immunopathology. Central to control of the IFN-gamma gene is the transcription factor T-bet, whose induction is Stat-1 dependent. IL-12 is dominant in directing Th1 development, while synergizing with IL-18 for IFNgamma production from differentiated Th1 cells.
