open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2019
The title compounds, C20H16N2O3S, (I), and C21H18N2O3S, (II), differ by the presence of a methyl group in position 5 on the 1H-indole-2-one ring of compound (II). The two compounds have a structural overlap r.m.s. deviation of 0.48 Å.

The Impact of Genetic Polymorphisms on Genotoxicity (DNA Damage) Among Children Exposed to Environmental Mutagens: A Systematic Review

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Children, as a particularly vulnerable group, are more susceptible to these mutagens due to their developing immune systems, higher physiological vulnerability, and increased exposure through behaviors like outdoor play and hand‐to‐mouth activities. This review aims to investigate the relationship between these environmental exposures, genetic

A Solvent‐Free Synthesis of Imidazo[1,5‐a]pyridines Using CCl4 as an Oxidant

open access: yesJournal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A solvent‐free synthesis of imidazo[1,5‐a]pyridines (Impys) using CCl4 as an oxidant reagent and DBU as the base is informed. An array of Impys derived from different benzylic, heteroaryl aldehydes and others was synthesized in moderate to good yields.

4-(Benzofuran-2-yl)-2-[3-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-(4-fluorophenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-1-yl]thiazole

open access: yesIUCrData, 2019
The molecule of the title compound, C26H17ClFN3OS, comprises benzofuranyl (A), thiazolyl (B), pyrazolyl (C), chlorophenyl (D) and fluorophenyl (E) ring systems. Rings A–D are almost coplanar, as indicated by the twist angles between the ring pairs A/B, B/

Integrating tunable LED‐induced plant responses with novel solar cell technologies for energy‐efficient agrivoltaic systems

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
The increasing demand for sustainable food production requires innovative solutions that balance productivity, resource efficiency, and environmental impact. Vertical Farming Systems (VFSs) offer a promising approach; however, their high energy consumption remains challenging.

Thermodynamic Functions of Thiazole and iso-Thiazole

open access: yesCroatica Chemica Acta, 1968
Some thermodynamic functions (the enthalpy and free energy functi ons, entropy and heat capacity) of thiazole and iso-thiazole have been calculated (300-1000° K), using the harmonic-oscillator, rigid-rotor approximation. The reported assignments for the two molecules were us ed, as were the published values for the moments of inertia of thiazole ...

The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1697-1716, April 2025.
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

Crystal structure of ethyl 5-(3-fluorophenyl)-2-[(4-fluorophenyl)methylidene]-7-methyl-3-oxo-2H,3H,5H-[1,3]thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidine-6-carboxylate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2014
In the title molecule, C23H18F2N2O3S, the pyrimidine ring is in a half-chair conformation and the 3-fluorophenyl group is in the axial position. The thiazole ring (r.m.s.

Topochemical conversion of an imine- into a thiazole-linked covalent organic framework enabling real structure analysis

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Stabilization of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) by post-synthetic locking strategies is a powerful tool to push the limits of COF utilization, which are imposed by the reversible COF linkage. Here we introduce a sulfur-assisted chemical conversion of
