Synthesis, molecular modeling and bioactivity of new bis-thiazole, thiazole-pyrazole, and thiazole-pyridine analogues

open access: yesJournal of Saudi Chemical Society, 2023
Several new thiazole derivatives linked pyrazole and/or pyridine rings were synthesized based on the versatile precursor 2-(5-acetyl-4-methyl-3-phenylthiazol-2(3H)-ylidene)acetonitrile (1). The synthesized derivatives were optimized using DFT approach in order to inspect the configurations and energies of the HOMO-LUMO orbitals.

First method for dissolving zinc thiazole and re-evaluation of its antibacterial properties against rice bacterial blight disease

open access: yesPhytopathology Research, 2019
Rice bacterial blight (BB), caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo), is one of the most destructive diseases in rice-growing regions worldwide. Zinc thiazole is a novel bactericide and has been applied for BB control for 10 years.

Biosynthesis of the Thiamin-Thiazole in Eukaryotes: Identification of a Thiazole Tautomer Intermediate [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2008
Thiamin thiazole biosynthesis in eukaryotes is still not completely understood. In this report, a late intermediate, tightly bound to the active site of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae thiazole synthase, was identified as an adenylated thiazole tautomer. The reactivity of this unusual compound was evaluated.

Activity of antioxidant enzymes in hepatocytes of mice with lymphoma under the action of thiazole derivative in complex with polymeric nanocarrier

open access: yesБіологія тварин, 2023
Many chemotherapeutics drugs have low water solubility, which potentially can decrease their anticancer potential. The use of drug delivery systems has proven to be highly effective in addressing the challenges associated with delivering hydrophobic ...

Thiazoles in Peptides and Peptidomimetics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The natural occurrence of the thiazole ring in chemistry and biology has inspired its widespread use in synthetic peptidomimetics as structural templates, biological probes, and pharmaceuticals. Thiazole can be viewed as a dehydrated cyclized derivative of cysteine, incorporated into peptide sequences through chemical synthesis or ribosomal ...
