A systemic single‐cell and spatially‐resolved transcriptomics and TCR sequencing analysis across the aging thymus dissects the molecular underpinnings of T cell subset dynamics. The study highlights the shifting proportions and transcriptomic profiles of T cell subsets during aging.

High-Throughput Screening of Radioprotectors Using Rat Thymocytes [PDF]
We invented a high-throughput screening method for the examination of radioprotective activity of chemical compounds using rat thymocytes. X-irradiation of the rat thymocytes induced apoptosis, leading to a significant cell shrinkage, which could be ...

A Proposed Clinical Diagnostic Framework for Short Telomere Syndrome
We propose a phenotype‐based diagnostic framework for short telomere syndrome that integrates age‐adjusted telomere length, phenotypic manifestations, and genetic findings, where available. The framework is intended to guide clinical evaluation, longitudinal surveillance, and individualized management while acknowledging limitations in current telomere

Sema3E‐plexinD1 Axis Is a Modulator of Foxp3+ Regulatory T‐Cells in House Dust Mite Model of Asthma
Airway epithelial‐derived Sema3E enhances both the number and proliferation of Foxp3+ regulatory T (Treg) cells in an acute model of asthma. Mechanistically, deletion of PlexinD1, the receptor for Sema3E, specifically in Foxp3+ cells was associated with a breakdown in immune regulation in this model.

Regulation of apoptosis-induction in thymocytes [PDF]
Most T cells are produced in the thymus, where they proceed through several differentiation steps to shape the TCR repertoire. The first thymocyte subset to express a TCR complex is characterized by the expression of CD4 and CD8 co-receptors, CD4+CD8 ...

IntroductionHerpesviruses, including the roseoloviruses, have been linked to autoimmune disease. The ubiquitous and chronic nature of these infections have made it difficult to establish a causal relationship between acute infection and subsequent ...

Superantigens are presented by and activate thymocytes from infants. [PDF]
Udgivelsesdato: 1999-nullA high percentage of human fetal and postnatal thymocytes express MHC class II molecules. This raises the possibility that human thymocytes in early life are able to present peptides to other immature T cells and thereby initiate
