The degree of commutativity and lamplighter groups

open access: yes, 2018
The degree of commutativity of a group $G$ measures the probability of choosing two elements in $G$ which commute. There are many results studying this for finite groups. In [AMV17], this was generalised to infinite groups.

T‐Cell Immunity and Lung Cancer

open access: yesRespirology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lung cancer remains a leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide. Although immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have reshaped therapeutic strategies in lung cancer, their benefits remain limited. ICIs exert their therapeutic efficacy by activating T‐cell effector functions, underscoring the central role of T cells in antitumor immunity.

Targeting TIGIT for cancer immunotherapy: recent advances and future directions

open access: yesBiomarker Research
As a newly identified checkpoint, T cell immunoreceptor with immunoglobulin and tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM) domain (TIGIT) is highly expressed on CD4+ T cells, CD8+ T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, regulatory T cells (Tregs), and tumor ...

Renal cell carcinoma with atypical omental metastasis: A case report and literature review

open access: yesUroPrecision, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most common type of kidney cancer in adults, with common metastatic sites including the lungs, bones, liver, and brain. Omental metastasis is exceedingly rare and usually occurs postoperatively. Fumarate hydratase‐deficient (FH‐deficient) RCC, a recently classified and highly aggressive subtype of ...

Type I and II Interferons Drive Abacavir Hypersensitivity via Treg Suppression and T‐Cell Enhancement in Immunocompetent HLA‐Transgenic Mice

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Upregulated HLA‐B*57:01 expression in Tg/KO mice amplifies abacavir‐specific CD8+ T‐cell activation, driven by enhanced antigen presentation. Abacavir treatment induces robust pDC expansion and IFN‐α production, which selectively suppresses memory Treg populations.

Enhancement of Human Immunodeficiency Virus-Specific CD8+ T Cell Responses with TIGIT Blockade Involves Trogocytosis

open access: yesPathogens
Natural killer (NK) and CD8+ T cell function is compromised in human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection by increased expression of inhibitory receptors such as TIGIT (T cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains).

Neoadjuvant therapy in skin cancer: current evidence and future perspectives

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary The development of immune checkpoint inhibitors and targeted therapies has fundamentally changed the treatment of cutaneous malignancies, especially in squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, and Merkel cell carcinoma. The latest neoadjuvant approaches have shown promising results in locally advanced stages.

Beyond PD‐1: Mechanisms of Resistance to Checkpoint Blockade in Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma and Next‐Generation Immune Strategies

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT PD‐1 inhibitors have reshaped the treatment landscape of classical Hodgkin lymphoma, yet a substantial proportion of patients exhibit primary or acquired resistance driven by tumor‐intrinsic alterations, immunosuppressive microenvironmental signals, metabolic constraints, and EBV‐mediated modulation.

Reporters of TCR signaling identify arthritogenic T cells in murine and human autoimmune arthritis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
How pathogenic cluster of differentiation 4 (CD4) T cells in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) develop remains poorly understood. We used Nur77-a marker of T cell antigen receptor (TCR) signaling-to identify antigen-activated CD4 T cells in the SKG mouse model ...

Generation of a homozygous TIGIT gene knockout (TIGIT−/−) human iPSC line (MUSIi001-A-3) using CRISPR/Cas9 system

open access: yesStem Cell Research
Adoptive cell therapy for solid cancers involves enhancing and reinfusing immune cells to target tumor cells. The advancement of induced pluripotent stem cell technology enables the generation of immune cell products like T and NK cells for ACT. However, the expression of inhibitory receptors, such as TIGIT, may limit the functionality of these immune ...
