TLR-2 is involved in airway epithelial cell response to air pollution particles

Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, 2005
Primary cultures of normal human airway epithelial cells (NHBE) respond to ambient air pollution particulate matter (PM) by increased production of the cytokine IL-8, and the induction of several oxidant stress response genes. Components of ambient air PM responsible for stimulating epithelial cells have not been conclusively identified, although metal

Ubiquitin-like protein MNSFβ regulates TLR-2-mediated signal transduction

Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, 2012
Post-translational modification by monoclonal nonspecific suppressor factor β (MNSFβ) has been involved in the regulation of a variety of cellular processes. Previous studies have demonstrated that MNSFβ covalently binds to the intracellular pro-apoptotic protein Bcl-G and regulates TLR-4-mediated signal transduction. Recently, we found that MNSFβ also

TLR-2 gene Arg753Gln polymorphism is strongly associated with acute rheumatic fever in children

Journal of Molecular Medicine, 2005
The recently described family of toll-like receptors (TLRs) is a key player in host immunity by mediating inflammatory reactions against a wide range of pathogens. Mutations and polymorphisms in TLRs have revealed the importance of TLRs in human defence against diseases.

[Cloning of mouse TLR-2 gene and its expression in Pichia pastroris].

Xi bao yu fen zi mian yi xue za zhi = Chinese journal of cellular and molecular immunology, 2005
To clone the mouse TLR-2 gene and to express it in Pichia pastroris.Full-length gene encoding mouse Toll-like receptor 2 (mTLR-2) was amplified by RT-PCR, cloned into pUCm-T vector, and confirmed by sequencing. The target gene was then inserted into Pichia pastroris expression vector pPICZalphaC, which was transformed into Pichia pastroris.
