Toll-like receptor-2 deficiency enhances non-alcoholic steatohepatitis

open access: yesBMC Gastroenterology, 2010
Background Previously we reported that mice deficient in toll-like receptor 4 (TLR-4) signalling were protected from diet-induced non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).

Engineering Oncolytic Virus‐Armed Macrophages for Enhanced Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ZIFOA‐M is engineered by conjugating oncolytic adenovirus‐loaded ZIF‐8 nanoparticles onto macrophage surfaces via bioorthogonal chemistry. Upon tumor infiltration, the platform releases OA to downregulate CD47/CD24 on tumor cells, restoring macrophage phagocytosis.

Ex vivo mRNA expression of toll-like receptors during latent tuberculosis infection

open access: yesBMC Immunology, 2021
Background Understanding immune mechanisms, particularly the role of innate immune markers during latent TB infection remains elusive. The main objective of this study was to evaluate mRNA gene expression patterns of toll-like receptors (TLRs) as ...

Assessment of immunological efficacy of specific prevention influenza in persons with polymorphism of TLR-2, TLR-3, TLR-4 genes

open access: yes, 2014

Genetic polymorphism Arg753Gln of TLR-2, Leu412Phe of TLR-3, Asp299Gly of TLR-4 in patients with influenza and influenza-associated pneumonia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The aim of the research is to study the prevalence and to determine the prognostic significance of polymorphism ARG753GLN of the TLR-2 gene, Leu412Phe of TLR-3, Asp299Gly of TLR-4 in influenza.

Senescent Cell Derived Artificial Vesicle‐Based Senolytic Sonovaccine Platform with Augmented Lymph Node Delivery and Antigen Cross‐Presentation Efficacy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A senolytic sonovaccine platform (SenoVac) is developed, in which senescent cell‐derived vesicles serve as broad senescent cell antigen reservior. The “2‐step” click chemistry strategy for effective lymph node delivery, and ultrasound‐triggered endosomal escape to boost cross‐presentation, ensures efficient senescent cell clearance and disease ...

TLR-2 Arg753Gln, TLR-4 Asp299Gly, and TLR-4 Thr399Ile polymorphisms in Henoch Schonlein purpura with and without renal involvement

open access: yes, 2010
Infections may trigger or aggravate glomerulonephritidis and renal vasculitis like Henoch Schonlein purpura (HSP). HSP is seen more frequently in patients with familial Mediterranean fever in which TLR-2 Arg753Gln polymorphism frequency is increased ...

NMI Regulates Adipose Adaptive Thermogenesis Through TLR4/IRF3 Signaling to Promote Obesity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Adipose tissue‐derived NMI is secreted under metabolic stress and suppresses adaptive thermogenesis through TLR4/IRF3 signaling, repressing the PPARα/PGC‐1α/UCP1 thermogenic transcriptional program. Genetic ablation or anti ‐ NMI monoclonal antibody treatment enhances energy expenditure, protects against DIO, and ameliorates adipose tissue inflammation,

Placental Site Trophoblastic Tumor Acquires Immune Functions by Incorporating Host Maternal Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PSTT cells, through cell fusion with B cells, incorporate abundant non‐inherited maternal genes that are detectable by DNIMA. These hybrid cells acquire immunotherapy‐resistant genetic changes and increase the expression of B cell‐derived immune‐related molecules such as Ig, HLA, LILRB, SIGLEC10, and so on, creating an immunotolerant environment around
