Emergent Topological Magnons and Thermal Hall Effect in 2D Filling‐Enforced Fully Compensated Ferrimagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of ferroelectric‐intercalation‐driven transitions in magnetic configurations and magnonic topological phases, together with the symmetry relations of magnonic Berry curvature. ABSTRACT Magnons in collinear magnets with vanishing net magnetization offer unique advantages for spin transport, including ultrafast dynamics and ...

Tales from topographic oceans: topologically associated domains and cancer [PDF]

open access: yesEndocrine-Related Cancer, 2019
The 3D organization of the genome within the cell nucleus has come into sharp focus over the last decade. This has largely arisen because of the application of genomic approaches that have revealed numerous levels of genomic and chromatin interactions, including topologically associated domains (TADs). The current review examines how these domains were

Transfer Printing and Reconfiguration of Soft Electronics Using Digital Microfluidics and Laser Machining

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This paper presents a digital microfluidics‐based technique for transferring and reconfiguring soft nanomembranes. Laser‐machined nanothin membranes are picked up, transported, and aligned via tailored surface tension and the actuation of water droplets, enabling the development of flexible electronics, the integration of functional materials on 3D ...

Large Transverse Thermoelectric Effect in Weyl Semimetal TaIrTe4 Engineered for Photodetection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This experimental work shows that the anomalous scanning photocurrent response patterns of the Weyl semimetal TaIrTe4${\rm TaIrTe}_4$ under visible and long‐wave infrared illumination are due to a large transverse thermoelectric response of the material.

InterTADs: Integration of Multi-Omics Data on Topological Associated Domains

open access: yes, 2020
Abstract Background: The integration of multi-omics data can greatly facilitate the advancement of research in Life Sciences by providing new insights on how biological systems interact. However, there is currently no widespread procedure for a robust, efficient and meaningful multi-omics data integration; the approach presented here is a first

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

Statistics of chromatin organization during cell differentiation revealed by heterogeneous cross-linked polymers

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
Chromatin is folded into Topologically Associating domains (TADs), with the organization and folding hierarchy of the TADs being highly dynamic. Here the authors develop a parsimonious randomly cross-linked (RCL) polymer model that maps high frequency ...
