miR-107 enhances the sensitivity of breast cancer cells to paclitaxel

open access: yesOpen Medicine, 2019
Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Chinese women. Paclitaxel (PTX) is a chemotherapy medication used to treat breast cancer patients. However, a side effect of paclitaxel is the severe drug resistance.

Non‐Coding RNAs in Breast Cancer Radioresistance: Mechanisms, Functional Roles and Translational Potentials [PDF]

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 59, Issue 2, February 2026.
Non‐coding RNAs (ncRNAs) regulate breast cancer radioresistance via cell cycle, DNA repair and tumour microenvironment pathways. Targeting ncRNAs (e.g., HOTAIR and miR‐155) with RNA‐based therapies (ASOs and CRISPR) shows promise but faces delivery challenges.

Nonredundant Functions for Tumor Protein D52-Like Proteins Support Specific Targeting of TPD52 [PDF]

open access: yesClinical Cancer Research, 2008
Abstract Purpose: Tumor protein D52 (TPD52 or D52) is frequently overexpressed in breast and other cancers and present at increased gene copy number. It is, however, unclear whether D52 amplification and overexpression target specific functional properties of the encoded protein.

miR-103a-3p Suppresses Cell Proliferation and Invasion by Targeting Tumor Protein D52 in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Surgery, 2021
Growing evidence points at an association between microRNAs and tumor development. Although dysregulation of microRNA-103a-3p (miR-103a-3p) in multiple human cancers has been reported, its expression in prostate cancer (PCa) remains unknown and there is ...

Urinary proteomic profiling reveals diagnostic biomarkers and regulatory networks in myasthenia gravis [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Neurology
Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular junction disorder mediated by autoantibodies. Existing diagnostic methods mainly rely on serum antibody detection and electrophysiological testing, which are limited by invasiveness ...

Identification of PLP2 and RAB5C as novel TPD52 binding partners through yeast two-hybrid screening [PDF]

open access: yesMolecular Biology Reports, 2014
Tumor protein D52 (TPD52) is overexpressed in different cancers, but its molecular functions are poorly defined. A large, low-stringency yeast two-hybrid screen using full-length TPD52 bait identified known partners (TPD52, TPD52L1, TPD52L2, MAL2) and four other preys that reproducibly bound TPD52 and TPD52L1 baits (PLP2, RAB5C, GOLGA5, YIF1A).

Acetylation-dependent regulation of TPD52 isoform 1 modulates chaperone-mediated autophagy in prostate cancer

open access: yesAutophagy, 2021
Aberrant chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA) activation has been suggested as a tumorigenesis-promoting event in various cancers, although its roles in prostate cancer (PCa) remain elusive. Emerging evidence indicates that TPD52 isoform 1, a prostate-specific and androgen-responsive gene, contributes to the malignant progression of PCa.

MiR-139-5p Inhibits the Development of Gastric Cancer through Targeting TPD52 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Healthcare Engineering, 2022
Background. Many researchers have confirmed that miRNAs are involved in the pathogenesis of gastric cancer (GC). This study focused on investigating the specific functions of miR-139-5p in GC. Methods. MiR-139-5p and TPD52 expressions were observed by qRT-PCR or western blot in GC.
