Racial influence on the prevalence of prostate carcinoma in Brazilian volunteers

open access: yesInternational Brazilian Journal of Urology, 2003
PURPOSE: To investigate the prevalence of prostate carcinoma in a sample of volunteers known to have a large proportion of Bantu African ancestors, and the performance of total PSA (tPSA), PSA density (PSAD) and free-to-total PSA ratio (f/tPSA) on the ...

Prediksi Jumlah Sampah di TPSA Menggunakan Pendekatan Machine Learning

open access: yesJURNAL MEDIA INFORMATIKA BUDIDARMA
The amount of waste at landfills is increasing along with the growing population and human activities. Predicting the amount of waste has become one of the ways to address waste management issues. The quantity of upcoming waste can be determined through waste prediction, providing essential information for solving waste-related problems.

Computational Evaluation of Statin Analogs Targeting HMG‐CoA Reductase for Coronary Artery Disease Treatment

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
Molecular dynamics analysis of novel statin analogs shows that binding induces superior stabilization of HMG‐CoA reductase. As shown by the solvent‐accessible surface area profile, ligand‐induced rigidity offers a new, effective strategy for drug design. Cardiovascular diseases remain a leading cause of global mortality.

Age-specific prostate specific antigen cutoffs for guiding biopsy decision in Chinese population. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
BACKGROUND: Age-specific prostate specific antigen (PSA) cutoffs for prostate biopsy have been widely used in the USA and European countries. However, the application of age-specific PSA remains poorly understood in China. METHODS: Between 2003 and 2012,

Studies of Ar and N2 using threshold photoelectron spectroscopy by electron attachment (TPSA)

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 1977
Threshold photoelectron spectra of Ar and N2 are studied by the technique of attachment of the threshold electron to SF6 followed by detection of the SF6−. Studies on Ar provide a measure of the rejection ratio for nonthreshold electrons of this technique. This ratio is compared to that for two other types of electron detectors.

Is Saturation Biopsy Still a Viable Alternative to Fusion Biopsy in the Era of Multiparametric MRI? A Comparative Analysis in Patients With Prior Negative Biopsy

open access: yesThe Prostate, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background We aimed to compare the diagnostic accuracy of transrectal ultrasound (TRUS)‐guided saturation biopsy (SB) and multiparametric MRI (mpMRI)‐TRUS fusion‐guided combined biopsy (CB) in patients with prior negative prostate biopsies. Methods We retrospectively analyzed data from 160 patients who underwent transrectal prostate biopsy ...

Novel reference gene microseminoprotein‐beta based prostate cancer antigen 3 urine test: Enhanced diagnostic performance for prostate cancer and feasibility of non‐digital rectal examination urine sampling

open access: yesUroPrecision, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The diagnosis of prostate cancer (PCa) is limited by low specificity and invasiveness. This study aims to establish a highly accurate, noninvasive reverse transcription‐quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT‐qPCR)‐based urinary prostate cancer antigen 3 (PCA3) assay system and explore the feasibility of using first‐morning urine

AlkaPlorer: A database‐driven explorer for natural alkaloids and derivatives

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
The alkaloid database AlkaPlorer integrates over 130,000 compounds across 12,250 species. By linking chemical structures with biological and evolutionary data, it reveals how these molecules evolve and function. This platform serves as a vital resource for AI‐driven discovery in plant metabolism and modern drug development. ABSTRACT Alkaloids, renowned
