Quantification of voriconazole in plasma by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A convenient liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method for the quantification of the triazole antifungal agent voriconazole in plasma samples is described. Fenbuconazole is used as an internal standard.

Bipolar Hydrogen Production by Hybrid Water Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review focuses on the recent advances in uniqueness bipolar H2 production from the oxidation of representative small molecules, including 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural, formaldehyde, alcohols, and N‐heterocycle amides. The target electrocatalysts and the underlying mechanisms are discussed in respect to specific substrate oxidation.

Development of Highly Selective 1,2,3-Triazole-containing Peptidic Polo-like Kinase 1 Polo-box Domain-binding Inhibitors

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Members of the polo-like kinase (Plk) family of serine/threonine protein kinases play crucial roles in cell cycle regulation and proliferation. Of the five Plks (Plk1–5), Plk1 is recognized as an anticancer drug target.

Analyzing the Binding of Co(II)-specific Inhibitors to the Methionyl Aminopeptidases from \u3cem\u3eEscherichia coli\u3c/em\u3e and \u3cem\u3ePyrococcus furiosus\u3c/em\u3e [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Methionine aminopeptidases (MetAPs) represent a unique class of protease that is capable of the hydrolytic removal of an N-terminal methionine residue from nascent polypeptide chains.

Mechanisms of Triazole Resistance in Aspergillus fumigatus.

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology, 2020
The ubiquitous fungal pathogen Aspergillus fumigatus is the primary cause of opportunistic mold infections in humans. Aspergilli disseminate via asexual conidia passively traveling through air currents to germinate within a broad range of environs ...

Effective Sliding Motions of Vibration‐Induced Emission Stoppers in Mechanically Interlocked Molecules as Artificial Muscle Tougheners and In Situ Molecular Shuttling Sensors for Self‐Healable Mechano‐Fluorescent Polyurethane Organogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The self‐healable ratiometric mechano‐fluorescent polyurethane (PU) organogel is constructed by incorporating a minor amount (ca. 1.5 wt.%) of the unconventional daisy chain rotaxane (as an artificial molecular muscle toughener) with specific sliding motions and ratiometric emission behaviors into the PU skeleton, which reveals the progressed intrinsic

Towards Water Soluble Mitochondria-Targeting Theranostic Osmium(II) Triazole-Based Complexes

open access: yesMolecules, 2016
The complex [Os(btzpy)2][PF6]2 (1, btzpy = 2,6-bis(1-phenyl-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)pyridine) has been prepared and characterised. Complex 1 exhibits phosphorescence (λem = 595 nm, τ = 937 ns, φem = 9.3% in degassed acetonitrile) in contrast to its known ...

Abrogation of Triazole Resistance upon Deletion of CDR1 in a Clinical Isolate of Candida auris

open access: yesAntimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, 2019
Candida auris has rapidly emerged as a health care-associated and multidrug-resistant pathogen of global concern. In this work, we examined the relative expression of the four C.

Triazole Fungicides Can Induce Cross-Resistance to Medical Triazoles in Aspergillus fumigatus

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
Azoles play an important role in the management of Aspergillus diseases. Azole resistance is an emerging global problem in Aspergillus fumigatus, and may develop through patient therapy. In addition, an environmental route of resistance development has been suggested through exposure to 14α-demethylase inhibitors (DMIs).
