Cannabidiol sensitizes TRPV2 channels to activation by 2-APB
The cation-permeable TRPV2 channel is important for cardiac and immune cell function. Cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive cannabinoid of clinical relevance, is one of the few molecules known to activate TRPV2.

Identification of putative potassium channel homologues in pathogenic protozoa [PDF]
K(+) channels play a vital homeostatic role in cells and abnormal activity of these channels can dramatically alter cell function and survival, suggesting that they might be attractive drug targets in pathogenic organisms.

Characterization of Two-pore Channel 2 (TPCN2)-mediated Ca2+ Currents in Isolated Lysosomes [PDF]
Two-pore channels (TPCNs) have been proposed to form lysosomal Ca(2+) release channels that are activated by nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate. Here, we employ a glass chip-based method to record for the first time nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate -dependent currents through a two-pore channel (TPCN2) from intact lysosomes.

What have we learned from two-pore potassium channels? Their molecular configuration and function in the human heart [PDF]
Two-pore domain potassium channels (K2P) control excitability, stabilize the resting membrane potential below firing threshold, and accelerate repolarisation in different cells.

The flavonoid naringenin (Nar), present in citrus fruits and tomatoes, has been identified as a blocker of an emerging class of human intracellular channels, namely the two-pore channel (TPC) family, whose role has been established in several diseases ...

KCNE1 and KCNE2 provide a checkpoint governing voltage-gated potassium channel α-subunit composition [PDF]
Voltage-gated potassium (Kv) currents generated by N-type α-subunit homotetramers inactivate rapidly because an N-terminal ball domain blocks the channel pore after activation.

Enhancement effects of martentoxin on glioma BK channel and BK channel (α+β1) subtypes. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: BK channels are usually activated by membrane depolarization and cytoplasmic Ca(2+). Especially, the activity of BK channel (α+β4) can be modulated by martentoxin, a 37 residues peptide, with Ca(2+)-dependent manner.

. Background:. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a complex autoimmune disease, and the mechanism of SLE is yet to be fully elucidated. The aim of this study was to explore the role of two-pore segment channel 2 (TPCN2) in SLE pathogenesis.

Two-pore channel 2 (TPC2) modulates store-operated Ca2+ entry
Two-pore channels (TCPS) are NAADP-sensitive receptor channels that conduct Ca(2+) efflux from the intracellular stores. Discharge of the internal Ca(2+) pools results in the activation of store-operated Ca(2+) entry (SOCE); however, the role of TPCs in the modulation of SOCE remains unexplored.
