Investigating In Situ Expression of c-MYC and Candidate Ubiquitin-Specific Proteases in DLBCL and Assessment for Peptidyl Disruptor Molecule against c-MYC-USP37 Complex

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL). Elevated expression of c-MYC in DLBCL is associated with poor prognosis of the disease.

Ubiquitin-specific protease USP25 functions in endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER)-associated degradation (ERAD) discards abnormal proteins synthesized in the ER. Through coordinated actions of ERAD components, misfolded/anomalous proteins are recognized, ubiquitinated, extracted from the ER and ultimately ...

Plant proteases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Plant proteases are involved in most aspects of plant physiology and development, playing key roles in the generation of signaling molecules and as regulators of essential cellular processes such as cell division and metabolism.

Characterization of the deubiquitination activity and substrate specificity of the chicken ubiquitin-specific protease 1/USP associated factor 1 complex

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2017
Deubiquitinases (DUBs) are essential regulators of intracellular processes involving ubiquitin (Ub) modification. The human DUB ubiquitin-specific protease 1 (hUSP1) interacts with human USP-associated factor 1 (hUAF1), and helps to regulate processes such as DNA damage repair.

BRCA1 is a histone-H2A-specific ubiquitin ligase [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The RING domain proteins BRCA1 and BARD1 comprise a heterodimeric ubiquitin (E3) ligase that is required for the accumulation of ubiquitin conjugates at sites of DNA damage and for silencing at DNA satellite repeat regions. Despite its links to chromatin,

Marek’s disease virus (MDV) ubiquitin-specific protease (USP) performs critical functions beyond its enzymatic activity during virus replication

open access: yesVirology, 2013
Marek's disease virus (MDV) encodes an ubiquitin-specific protease (USP) within its UL36 gene. USP is highly conserved among herpesviruses and was shown to be important for MDV replication and pathogenesis in MDV's natural host, the chicken. To further investigate the role of MDV USP, several recombinant (r) MDVs were generated and their in vitro ...

Ubiquitin-specific peptidase 25 exacerbated osteoarthritis progression through facilitating TXNIP ubiquitination and NLRP3 inflammasome activation

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research, 2023
Several members of the ubiquitin-specific proteases (USPs) family have been revealed to regulate the progression of osteoarthritis (OA). The current study aimed to investigate the role and the underlying mechanism of USP25 in IL-1β-induced chondrocytes ...

Roles of ubiquitin-specific proteases in inflammatory diseases

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
Ubiquitin-specific proteases (USPs), as one of the deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs) families, regulate the fate of proteins and signaling pathway transduction by removing ubiquitin chains from the target proteins.

USPs (Ubiquitin-specific proteases) SÃO DIFERENCIALMENTE EXPESSAS ATRAVÉS DO CILCO DE VIDA DO Schistosoma mansoni

open access: yes, 2016
O processo de ubiquitinação é reversível e ocorre através das enzimas desubiquitinadoras (DUBs), as quais são proteases envolvidas no processamento de ubiquitinas e na reciclagem dos monômeros de ubiquitina das cadeias poliubiquinadas.

SR‐A3 Promotes USP18‐Mediated deISGylation of STING to Protect Against Myocardial Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MI/RI is a major clinical challenge with high morbidity and mortality. This study demonstrates that SR‐A3 expression is downregulated in MI/RI, and its deletion exacerbates damage via the USP18/ISG15/STING axis, revealing SR‐A3 as a potential therapeutic target.
