Uric Acid Metabolism, Uric Acid Transporters and Dysuricemia
Serum urate levels are determined by the balance between uric acid production and uric acid excretion capacity from the kidneys and intestinal tract. Dysuricemia, including hyperuricemia and hypouricemia, develops when the balance shifts towards an increase or a decrease in the uric acid pool.

Fluorinated β‐glucan/pectin nanogels enable colon‐targeted oral delivery of astilbin through gastrointestinal protection, β‐glucanase‐responsive release, mucus penetration, and prolonged retention. The released astilbin attenuates senescence‐associated features of CD4+ T cells and promotes Treg responses, while the nanogel matrix modulates the gut ...

Amino acid uptake in Arabidopsis [PDF]
Nitrogen (N) is essential for all living organisms and is considered to be the limiting factor for plant growth in many ecosystems. Although generally believed to rely on mineral N to fulfill their N needs, plants have also been found to access organic N

EVIDENCE FOR FREE-RADICAL MEDIATED LIPID PEROXIDATION IN RATS AFTER COLD-IMMERSION STRESS [PDF]
The role of cold immersion stress for the free-radical mediated lipid peroxidation in rat plasma and erythrocytes was studied. A model of cold-induced stress in rats was created.

Efoba, a novel bioactive component derived from aged garlic, confers neuroprotection against intracerebral hemorrhage. It acts on microglia to suppress CTSC release, inhibits NET‐mediated neural injury, and blocks pathological microglia‐neutrophil crosstalk. This study provides a highly promising lead compound for hemorrhagic‐stroke therapy.

High Fructose Consumption and Metabolic Syndrome from Gout Perspective
Uric acid is formed as a consequence of the catabolism of purine nucleotides. The removal of uric acid from the body is mainly carried out by the kidneys via urine and, to a lesser extent, by the intestinal tract via feces.

An Epidermal Sweat Patch for Tracking Metabolite Levels and Correlation Analysis in Biofluids
This work presents an epidermal sweat patch for continuous glucose monitoring that validates a strong correlation between sweat, interstitial fluid and blood, enabling a reliable and non‐invasive platform for systemic health management. ABSTRACT Continuous, in situ monitoring of sweat biomarkers offers a promising approach for non‐invasive metabolic ...

Survey the Effect of Low Dose Aspirin on Serum Level of Uric Acid in Patients with Ischemic Heart Disease [PDF]
Background & Objectives: Low dose aspirin has been widely used in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The bimodel action of aspirin on serum uric acid showed that aspirin at a high dosage promoted uricusuria; while intermediate doses ...
