Berberine Inhibited Tumor Growth Through Suppressing the WDR54/β‐catenin Signal Pathway in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesCell Biology International, Volume 50, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Berberine (BBR), a natural alkaloid, exhibits potent anti‐tumor activity in colorectal cancer (CRC), but its mechanisms are not fully elucidated. Analysis of GEO datasets (GSE216908 and GSE184414) identified WDR54 as a key target of BBR treatment. In vitro, BBR treatment of CRC cell lines (HT‐29 and SW480) markedly inhibited cell proliferation,

2'‐O‐Acetal Levulinic Ester Ribonucleoside 3'‐Phosphoramidites for the Solid‐Phase Synthesis of Long RNA

open access: yesCurrent Protocols, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Solid‐phase RNA synthesis is challenging because the 2'‐hydroxyl requires a protecting group that is stable during chain assembly yet easily removable without degrading the product. Driven by the demand for long RNA therapeutics, we report a synthesis method using 2'‐O‐acetal levulinic ester (ALE) ribonucleoside 3'‐O‐phosphoramidites.

Selected monosaccharides in cancer: Metabolic routing, post‐translational modification, immunity and therapeutic potential

open access: yesClinical and Translational Discovery, Volume 6, Issue 4, August 2026.
Glucose, galactose, mannose and fructose can either fuel or fight tumours by rewiring metabolism and immunity. Their context‐dependent double‐edged nature suggests that precisely targeted monosaccharide interventions could become a new pillar of precision oncology.

Effects of Exogenous Monosodium Glutamate on GABA Accumulation and Volatile/Nonvolatile Metabolites in Black Highland Barley

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Overview of MSG‐assisted GABA enrichment and associated changes in amino acid, fatty acid, and volatile metabolite profiles in germinated black highland barley. ABSTRACT γ‐Aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a functional amino acid with multiple health benefits; however, the mechanism of its enrichment in black highland barley, particularly through precursor ...
