Spindle cell lipoma in the gingiva of a dog: a case report

Spindle cell lipoma is a benign lipomatous tumour that mainly occurs in the subcutis of the head, neck, and shoulder in elderly men. Oral spindle cell lipoma is extremely rare in all species, and no cases have been reported in veterinary medicine.

Vimentin and tumor diagnosis

Vimentin was isolated and purified from the pig eye lens by homogenization, ultracentrifugation, extraction in urea buffer and preparative eletrophoresis. It was identified with SDS-PAGE and rabbit anti-vimentin was raised against the purified vimentin.

Inactivation of AXL in Cardiac Fibroblasts Alleviates Right Ventricular Remodeling in Pulmonary Hypertension

Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a progressive condition with high morbidity and mortality, largely owing to right ventricular (RV) failure resulting from maladaptive remodeling. Our study provides strong evidence in support of a critical, detrimental role for AXL as a previously unrecognized determinant driving RV fibrotic pathology in PH.
