HPTS loaded vesicles were subjected to rapid alkalinization by sudden injection of KOH as described for Figs. 2 and 3. The H+ conductance induced by the J4/1b p7 (A) and JFH1/2a/p7 (B) was inhibited by several viroporin inhibitors.
