Analysis of Somatic Mutations and Immunotherapy Biomarkers in Chinese Patients With Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer During 2019–2024: A Retrospective Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Understanding genetic alterations in lung cancer remains challenging due to tumor heterogeneity and malignancy. This study aimed to investigate somatic variations and immune‐related biomarkers in Chinese patients with NSCLC.

A vesicular stomatitis virus-based African swine fever vaccine prototype effectively induced robust immune responses in mice following a single-dose immunization

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
IntroductionAfrican swine fever (ASF) is a highly contagious hemorrhagic fever disease in pigs caused by African swine fever virus (ASFV). It is very difficult to control and prevent ASF outbreaks due to the absence of safe and effective vaccines ...

Characterization of Pseudotype VSV Possessing HCV Envelope Proteins

open access: yesVirology, 2001
The genome of hepatitis C virus (HCV) encodes two envelope glycoproteins (E1 and E2), which are thought to be responsible for receptor binding and membrane fusion resulting in virus penetration. To investigate cell surface determinants important for HCV infection, we used a recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) in which the glycoprotein gene was

Layered Seismic Anisotropy and Tectonics of the Anatolian Plate

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
Abstract Anatolian tectonics are associated with slab retreat in the west and gravitational potential energy and continental collision in the east, leading to westward motion of Anatolia relative to Eurasia, partially accommodated on the North and East Anatolian transform faults.

VSV-CHIKV activates antitumor immunity by inducing pyroptosis in a melanoma model

open access: yesDiscover Oncology
Melanoma is the most dangerous skin cancer due to its difficulty in treatment, high recurrence rate and metastatic ability. As a vector for oncolytic viruses (OVs), vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) has been shown to be effective against malignant ...

The Oncolytic Virus VSV-GP Is Effective against Malignant Melanoma

open access: yesViruses, 2018
Previously, we described VSV-GP, a modified version of the vesicular stomatitis virus, as a non-neurotoxic oncolytic virus that is effective for the treatment of malignant glioblastoma and ovarian cancer. Here, we evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of VSV-

NSAID Treatment Suppresses VSV Propagation in Mouse CNS

open access: yesVirology, 2000
Cyclooxygenase (COX) is the key enzyme in the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins. COX has two isoforms: COX-1, the constitutively expressed form, and COX-2, the inducible form. Prostaglandins are mediators of many critical physiological and inflammatory responses, but little is known about their roles during a viral infection in the ...

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, Volume 600, Issue 7, Page 1073-1087, April 2026.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Contact Lens with Moiré Patterns for High‐Precision Eye Tracking

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 29, 9 April 2026.
This work presents a passive contact lens for high‐precision eye tracking, integrating a microscopic moiré grating label. The parallax‐induced shift of macroscopic moiré patterns enables angle measurement with 0.28° precision using a standard camera under ambient light.

Overexpression of Smac by an Armed Vesicular Stomatitis Virus Overcomes Tumor Resistance

open access: yesMolecular Therapy: Oncolytics, 2019
Despite reports of successful clinical cases, many tumors appear to resist infection by oncolytic viruses (OVs). To circumvent this problem, an armed vesicular stomatitis virus was constructed by inserting a transgene to express Smac/DIABLO during virus ...
