Mutation detection on isotype-1 β tubulin genes of Haemonchus contortus resistant strain to benzimidazole using single strand conformation polymorphism

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu Ternak dan Veteriner, 2012
Evidence of anthelmintic resistance of Haemonchus contortus to benzimidazole groups based on Larval development assay (LDA) and Fecal egg count reduction test (FECRT) test has been reported in some areas in Indonesia. Studies on sheep parasite H. contortus have shown that resistance to benzimidazole drugs is correlated with selection for individuals in

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Balancing Act: Tubulin Glutamylation and Microtubule Dynamics in Toxoplasma gondii

open access: yesMicroorganisms
The success of the intracellular parasite Toxoplasma gondii in invading host cells relies on the apical complex, a specialized microtubule cytoskeleton structure associated with secretory organelles. The T. gondii genome encodes three isoforms of both α-

In silico prediction of three-dimensional structure and interactome analysis of Tubulin α subfamily of Arabidopsis thaliana [PDF]

open access: yesNetwork Biology, 2014
Microtubules are essential components of cytoskeleton, rigid hollow rods approximately 25 nm in diameter. Microtubules are dynamic structures being continuously assembled and disassembled within the cell.

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
