One‐Pot Photoreactions: A Source for Metal‐Polymer Nanocomposites

Chemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 55, October 1, 2025.
Photolysis of a mixture containing a photoinitiator, metal salt, and monomers in an aqueous or alcoholic medium yields nanocomposites. We present a straightforward method for their synthesis and demonstrate their application as heterogeneous catalysts.

White Light‐Induced Slow Kinetics Generation of Arynes

2‐(3‐Acetyl‐3‐methyl‐1‐triazen‐1‐yl)benzoic acids are synthesized from anthranilic acids, enabling the generation of arynes under white light irradiation. These aryne photoprecursors participate in [3 + 2] and [4 + 2] cycloadditions, as well as in metal‐free CN couplings, with good functional group tolerance.
