Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Effect of the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) Learning Model on Improving Students Argumentation Abilities

open access: yesJurnal Pijar Mipa
The Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning model is designed to provide students with opportunities to improve their methods of data collection, investigation, writing, answering investigative questions, and critical thinking. The ADI model also allows participants to participate in scientific debates and peer review.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Argument-Driven Inquiry Model in Chemistry Learning: A Systematic Review

open access: yesJurnal Pendidikan Sains Indonesia
Argument driven inquiry (ADI) model is an instructional learning model that combines argumentation with inquiry-based learning. The ADI model allows students to argue actively in the learning process. Previous research studies have found that the ADI model is widely applied in the field of chemistry.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
