A comprehensive contribution of genes for aryl hydrocarbon receptor signaling pathway to hypertension susceptibility [PDF]
The present study was designed to investigate whether genetic polymorphisms of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) signaling pathway are involved in the molecular basis of essential hypertension ...

Context Organophosphates and chitin synthesis inhibitor pesticides pose a significant indirect threat to fish populations, necessitating effective remedial measures. Objective Supplementation with vitamin C (Vit C) in fish feed as a counteracting strategy to mitigate pesticides effect was explored in silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix ...

The E3 ubiquitin ligase RFWD3 binds the exonuclease TREX1 and protects it from TRIM24‐mediated ubiquitination and degradation, leading to the eradication of intracellular dsDNA, inhibition of the cGAS‐STING pathway, and immunosuppressive microenvironment of lung cancer.

Expression of aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) and AHR-interacting protein in pituitary adenomas: pathological and clinical implications. [PDF]
peer reviewedaudience: researcher, professionalGermline mutations of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR)-interacting protein (AIP) gene confer a predisposition to pituitary adenomas (PA), usually in the setting of familial isolated PA. To provide further

Despite many physiological similarities, mice, rats and humans respond remarkably differently to hypoxia. In line with their high‐altitude phylogeographic history, mice are physiologically well equipped to deal better with high‐altitude hypoxia than humans, while the low‐land origin of rats may be associated with a particularly high vulnerability to ...

Compendium of TCDD-mediated transcriptomic response datasets in mammalian model systems [PDF]
2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) is the most potent congener of the dioxin class of environmental contaminants. Exposure to TCDD causes a wide range of toxic outcomes, ranging from chloracne to acute lethality.

This study investigates the anti‐cancer effects of pterostilbene (PTS), a naturally occurring dietary phytoestrogen, in a rat model of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) induced by a choline‐deficient L‐amino acid‐defined (CDAA) diet. Supplementation with PTS significantly reduces liver steatosis and tumor formation.

Systems analysis of barrier molecule and ARNT-related gene expression regulation in melanoma
Background: We have identified, in melanomas, a set of genes encoding proteins that mediate mechanical barrier function in normal skin (barrier molecule genes, BMGs) and whose overexpression is associated with decreased immune signatures and shorter ...
