Study of content alterations of peroxidase, ascorbate peroxidase and catalase activity in two soybean cultivars (Glycine max L. merr) under water stress [PDF]

open access: yesفیزیولوژی محیطی گیاهی, 2008
Different cultivars of one species activate various enzymes such as superoxide dismutase, catalase, peroxidase, glutathione reductase and ascorbate peroxidase in order to defense against the water stress. These enzymes have important role in plant defense

Tissue- and genotype-specific ascorbate peroxidase expression in sweet potato in response to salt stress

open access: yes, 2010
The aim of this work was to study the short-term effects of salt stress on the antioxidant system and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) expression in two salt sensitive sweet potato cultivars Tainung 57 (TN57) and Tainung 66 (TN66), and one salt-tolerant ...

Impact of short-term cadmium treatment on catalase and ascorbate peroxidase activities in barley root tips

open access: yes, 2012
The aim of this study was to analyse the relationship between root growth inhibition and alterations in catalase (CAT) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) contents and activities in barley root tips during the recovery after short-term Cd stress.

Purification and Characterization of Pea Cytosolic Ascorbate Peroxidase [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 1991
The cytosolic isoform of ascorbate peroxidase was purified to homogeneity from 14-day-old pea (Pisum sativum L.) shoots. The enzyme is a homodimer with molecular weight of 57,500, composed of two subunits with molecular weight of 29,500. Spectral analysis and inhibitor studies were consistent with the presence of a heme moiety.
