ABSTRACT Deregulation of the mechanistic target of the rapamycin (mTOR) pathway plays an important role in cancer genesis and progression, making it an attractive target for cancer treatment. Disrupting the mTOR pathway contributes to uncontrolled cell growth, increased proliferation, and enhanced cell survival, all of which are hallmarks of cancer ...

Boi‐ogi‐to (BOT) facilitates excretion of Cl− and water by activating VSOR anion channels. This study shows that BOT increases serum Na+ and Cl− levels in laboratory values and induces Cl− currents in human kidney epithelial HEK293T cells. Patch‐clamp studies confirmed that BOT activates LRRC8‐containing VSOR channels by translocating LRRC8A to the ...

Reactive Oxygen Species: From Tumorigenesis to Therapeutic Strategies in Cancer
ABSTRACT Background Reactive oxygen species (ROS), a class of highly reactive molecules, are closely linked to the pathogenesis of various cancers.
