Background and Purpose Oxidative stress plays a critical role in the pathophysiology of various diseases, yet current methods for its non‐invasive detection remain limited. This study aimed to systematically validate a superoxide‐selective PET tracer, [18F]FPBT, for the early diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring of oxidative stress‐related conditions ...

Background/Aims: [18F]Fluoroalkyl groups are essential labeling units because they are considered as surrogates for [11C]methyl moieties, and are coupled to the same functional units as the [11C]methyl group.

[18F]Nifene, a PET imaging probe for α4β2* nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, was used to discretely measure changes in hippocampus (HP) and subiculum (SUB) of postmortem Parkinson's disease (PD) cases compared to cognitively normal (CN) cases. Significant increased [18F]nifene binding in PD was observed.

Sugar Amino Acid Linkers for the Design of [18F]SiFA‐PSMA Radioligands
Sugar amino acid (SAA) linkers were incorporated into silicon‐fluoride‐acceptor (SiFA)‐prostate‐specific membrane antigen (PSMA) radioligands to modulate pharmacokinetic properties while preserving efficient 18F isotopic exchange radiolabeling. Furanose‐based SAAs outperformed pyranose analogues, enabling specific tumor visualization by PET despite ...

18F‐Radiopharmaceutical Diversification Enabled by Deaminative Cross‐Electrophile Couplings
A general Ni‐mediated (C)sp2–(C)sp3 cross‐coupling expedites access to 18F‐radiopharmaceuticals, essential for positron emission tomography imaging and drug discovery. This late‐stage diversification approach was implemented across three user‐friendly automated protocols affording 18F‐radiotracers in sufficient quantities for imaging.

ABSTRACT Objectives Prostate‐specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography (PSMA‐PET) is a sensitive imaging modality for detecting recurrent prostate cancer following definitive local therapy. However, evidence on 18F‐labeled PSMA tracers in Japanese patients with biochemical recurrence (BCR) remains limited.
