Effect of Taurine on Viability and Proliferation of Murine Melanoma B16F10 Cells

2015
This study was aimed at investigating the possible mechanism of the anti-proliferative effect of taurine on B16F10 melanoma cells using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) and neutral red assays and microscopic analysis. Apoptotic cells were detected by flow cytometry analysis.

In vitro and in vivo effects of polyhaemoglobin–tyrosinase on murine B16F10 melanoma

Melanoma Research, 2004
Melanoma is an increasingly common fatal skin cancer. Many groups are carrying out research on potential treatments for melanoma. One of these approaches has shown that lowering tyrosine can inhibit the growth of melanoma in cell cultures and of B16BL6 melanoma in mice.

Effect of Taurine on Antioxidant Enzyme System in B16F10 Melanoma Cells

2009
There is now increasing evidence that free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS) are involved in a variety of pathological events. Reactive oxygen species are produced during normal cellular function and lead to lipid peroxidation, massive protein oxidation and degradation.

[Mouse melanoma cell line B16F10-derived conditioned medium inhibits sodium L-ascorbate-induced B16F10 cell apoptosis].

Nan fang yi ke da xue xue bao = Journal of Southern Medical University, 2013
To investigate the effect of mouse melanoma cell line B16F10-derived conditioned medium on the apoptosis of B16F10 cells.B16F10 cells were cultured in high-glucose DMEM in the presence of 10% fetal bovine serum, and upon cell confluence, the growth medium was replaced with serum-free high-glucose DMEM.
