Developing site-specific guidelines for orchard soils based on bioaccessibility – Can it be done? [PDF]
Horticultural land within the periurban fringe of NZ towns and cities increasingly is being developed for residential subdivision. Recent surveys have shown that concentrations of As, Cd, Cu, Pb, and ΣDDT (sum of DDT and its degradation products DDE and ...

Assessment of in situ immobilization of Lead (Pb) and Arsenic (As) in contaminated soils with phosphate and iron: solubility and bioaccessibility [PDF]
The effect of in situ immobilization of lead (Pb) and arsenic (As) in soil with respectively phosphate and iron is well recognized. However, studies on combined Pb and As-contaminated soil are fewer, and assessment of the effectiveness of the ...

Milk: Nature's Unique Nutritional Package
ABSTRACT Plant‐based beverages that attempt to mimic milk are increasingly popular with consumers, but there are profound differences in nutritional composition and microstructure compared to milk. A structural nutrition approach is needed to understand the effect on digestibility of microstructures, bioaccessibility and bioavailability of components ...

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum spp.) is used as a culinary spice and dietary supplement. A major constituent, cinnamaldehyde, was previously shown to inactivate cytochrome P450 (CYP) 2A6 in vitro. A mechanistic static model predicted an ~5‐fold increase in the AUC of the CYP2A6 substrates nicotine and letrozole.
