Multi‐Induction Strategies in Crops: Mechanisms, Synergistic Effects, and Sustainable Applications for Enhanced Secondary Metabolite Production

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 4, July 2026.
This review analyzes single/combined abiotic (light, water, nutrients, hormones) and biotic (microbes, yeast) elicitors regulating signaling, gene expression, and metabolism to boost plant secondary metabolites. It highlights synergistic multielicitor strategies for crop quality and functional foods, while critically addressing current limitations and ...

鲜油茶果快速制油工艺研究Rapid oil production technology of fresh Camellia oleifera fruit

open access: yesZhongguo youzhi

Identification and expression of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate aldolase genes and their relations to oil content in developing seeds of tea oil tree (Camellia oleifera). [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Tea oil tree (Camellia oleifera, Co) provides a fine edible oil source in China. Tea oil from the seeds is very beneficial to human health. Fructose-1,6-bisphosphate aldolase (FBA) hydrolyzes fructose-1,6-bisphosphate into dihydroxyacetone phosphate and ...

Comparative profiling of microRNA expression in the developing seeds of high- and low-oil tea oil camellia (Camellia oleifera) cultivars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Abstract Background Tea oil camellia (Camellia oleifera), an important woody oil tree, is a source of seed oil of high nutritional and medicinal values and has been widely planted in southern China. However, there are few reports on the identification of miRNAs involved in seed lipid metabolism in high- and low-oil cultivars of tea oil ...

CfSnt2‐CfRpd3‐Mediated H3 Deacetylation Governs the ROS‐Induced Autophagy and Pathogenicity of Colletotrichum fructicola

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 27, Issue 7, July 2026.
The CfSnt2‐CfRpd3‐mediated H3 deacetylation negatively regulates ROS‐induced autophagy. The CfRpd3 and CfSnt2 undergo down‐regulated expression to relieve the inhibition of autophagy. Thus, autophagy is highly induced during Colletotrichum fructicola infection and oxidative stress for ROS response and pathogenicity.

Lipase Stability in Structured Lipid Synthesis: The Interplay of Substrate Characteristics and Strategies to Improve Its Operational Performance—A Critical Review

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Structured lipids (SLs) have attracted growing industrial interest due to their associated health benefits. Lipases, as highly selective and versatile biocatalysts, are central to the sustainable synthesis of SLs attributed to their ability to operate under mild reaction conditions. However, the limited operational stability of lipases remains

Hypolipidemic and Hypoglycemic Activity of Goat Milk–Derived Peptides

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 3, May 2026.
Goat milk–derived bioactive peptides IASAEPTVH, LSTSEENSKK, and TEDELQDK exerted favorable hypolipidemic and hypoglycemic properties. ABSTRACT The prevalence of diabetes and hyperlipidemia worldwide has increased in recent decades. This study aimed to investigate the potential hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effects of bioactive peptides derived from ...

High throughput sequencing of small RNAs reveals dynamic microRNAs expression of lipid metabolism during Camellia oleifera and C. meiocarpa seed natural drying

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2017
Background Camellia species are ancient oilseed plants with a history of cultivation over two thousand years. Prior to oil extraction, natural seed drying is often practiced, a process affecting fatty acid quality and quantity. MicroRNAs (miRNA) of lipid
