IL-21 promotes the development of a CD73-positive Vγ9Vδ2 T cell regulatory population

open access: yesOncoImmunology, 2018
Vγ9Vδ2 T cells contribute to the immune response against many tumor types through their direct cytotoxic activity and capacity to regulate the biological functions of other immune cells, such as dendritic cells and IFN-γ-producing CD8+ T cells.

Predictive value of CD73 expression for the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors in NSCLC

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, 2020
Background CD73 induces the dephosphorylation of adenosine monophosphate converting it to adenosine, enabling malignancies to escape from immune surveillance.

Hypoxic Preconditioning Enhances Survival and Proangiogenic Capacity of Human First Trimester Chorionic Villus-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells for Fetal Tissue Engineering. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Prenatal stem cell-based regenerative therapies have progressed substantially and have been demonstrated as effective treatment options for fetal diseases that were previously deemed untreatable. Due to immunoregulatory properties, self-renewal capacity,

Isorhamnetin Alleviates Renal Fibrosis Induced by Renal Tubular Epithelial Cell Senescence Via Inhibition of the IL‐6/IL‐6R Signaling Pathway

open access: yesiMetaMed, EarlyView.
IL‐6 from RTECs upregulates TGF‐β in macrophages, promoting fibroblast transdifferentiation. Isorhamnetin inhibits this effect. ABSTRACT Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a major global health issue. Kidney fibrosis is a key mechanism leading to end‐stage renal disease.

Disease-specific, neurosphere-derived cells as models for brain disorders [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
There is a pressing need for patient-derived cell models of brain diseases that are relevant and robust enough to produce the large quantities of cells required for molecular and functional analyses.

In Vitro Evaluation of Novel Calcium Silicate‐Based and Resin‐Modified Calcium Silicate Materials: Cytocompatibility and Mineralization Potential on Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells for Pulp Repair

open access: yesMicroscopy Research and Technique, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that Biodentine XP exhibits superior cytocompatibility, promotes odontogenic differentiation, and enhances mineralization in human dental pulp stem cells, supporting its use in regenerative endodontics. Resin‐modified materials showed lower bioactivity, highlighting the importance of material composition in pulp therapy outcomes.

Detailed analysis of adenosine A2a receptor (ADORA2A) and CD73 (5′-nucleotidase, ecto, NT5E) methylation and gene expression in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma patients

open access: yesOncoImmunology, 2018
Background: The adenosine A2a receptor (A2aR) and the adenosine synthesizing enzyme CD73 have recently evolved as a novel immunotherapeutic target. However, little is known about epigenetic modification of the encoding genes ADORA2A and NT5E. Methods: In
