Profiles of cfDNA extracted from intact hydatid cysts.

open access: yes, 2020
(A) Size of cfDNA from HCF samples analyzed on a 2100 bioanalyzer. Molecular weight (bp) is indicated (left lane). Green lines:15bp. Purple lines: 1500bp. (B) Profile of the cfDNA sequencing reads mapped to the E. granulosus genome (ASM52419v1) and human

Epigenetic Signatures in Ovarian Cancer to Determine Potential Diagnostic/Prognostic Biomarkers

open access: yesExperimed
Objective: Identification of methylation patterns in cell-free DNA (cfDNA) provides a non-invasive methodology for discovering critical biomarkers that facilitate detection and prognostic evaluation of ovarian cancer (OC).

Effect of blood pressure and glycemic control on the plasma cell-free DNA in hemodialysis patients

open access: yesKidney Research and Clinical Practice, 2015
Background: The plasma levels of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) are known to be elevated under inflammatory or apoptotic conditions. Increased cfDNA levels have been reported in hemodialysis (HD) patients.

Liquid biopsy in genitourinary oncology: Current clinical applications and future prospects across prostate, bladder, and renal cancers

open access: yesUroPrecision, EarlyView.
Abstract Liquid biopsy has emerged as a transformative approach in oncology, providing minimally invasive access to tumor‐derived biomarkers with applications across diagnosis, prognosis, therapeutic guidance, and disease monitoring. This literature review synthesizes evidence from 125 studies evaluating circulating tumor DNA, circulating tumor cells ...

Assessment of cfDNA Levels in Saliva Samples of Stressed Young Adults: Preliminary Study

open access: yesAhi Evran Medical Journal
Purpose: The aim of this pilot study was to examine the levels of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) in the saliva samples of second-year medical students before and after a stress-inducing event, exams. Materials and Methods: Saliva samples were collected from 20

Parallel Liquid Biopsy Analysis of miR‐371a‐3p and Cell‐Free DNA in an Unselected Cohort of Patients With Testicular Germ Cell Tumors

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Despite robust data showing strong potential to improve diagnosis and disease monitoring in testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs), miR‐371a‐3p testing has not yet been implemented in routine clinical practice. Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) represents another promising liquid biopsy biomarker that may provide complementary molecular ...

Tumor‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles in Plasma for Predicting Anti‐PD‐1 Antibody Efficacy in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
New antibody‐based sandwich assays to measure plasma extracellular vesicle (EV) subsets derived from tumor tissues were developed. These EVs can be easily measured repeatedly at appropriate times. They may be useful as liquid biopsies for early cancer detection and for predicting efficacy following surgery and anti‐PD‐1 antibody in NSCLC patients ...

Bile‐Derived Exosomal miR‐196a/‐196b as Diagnostic Biomarkers Associated With Tumor Progression in Biliary Tract Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Bile‐derived exosomal miR‐196a and miR‐196b are identified as novel biomarkers for biliary tract cancer. Serum miR‐196a levels are significantly elevated in advanced disease with metastasis, while both miRNAs contribute to tumor progression by promoting cancer cell proliferation and invasion.
