Characterization of a heparan sulfate and a peculiar chondroitin 4-sulfate proteoglycan from platelets. Inhibition of the aggregation process by platelet chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1991
A high molecular weight chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan (Mr 240,000) is released from platelet surface during aggregation induced by several pharmacological agents. Some details on the structure of this compound are reported. beta-Elimination with alkali and borohydride produces chondroitin sulfate chains with a molecular weight of 40,000.

NG2 Glia and Cellular Crosstalk in Health and Disease: Focus on Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesPathophysiology
NG2 glia, also known as oligodendrocyte progenitor cells, represent a unique population of glial cells characterized by dynamic morphology and the ability to extend branched processes that actively contact neurons and other cellular elements.

The effects of WWP1 overexpression on the golgi apparatus stress response and proteoglycan production in adipocytes

open access: yesScientific Reports
White adipocytes are a major component of white adipose tissue (WAT) and help to maintain systemic metabolic homeostasis by storing energy and secreting adipokines. In mice deficient in the protein WWP1 (WW domain-containing E3 ubiquitin protein ligase 1)
