Abstract Objective This study aimed to explore genetic etiologies of conotruncal defects (CTDs) in fetuses by analyzing the results of different genetic tests and to assess pregnancy outcomes of fetuses with CTD in a Chinese prenatal cohort. Methods A total of 146 fetuses that underwent invasive prenatal genetic testing for CTD at the prenatal ...

Microsaccades Tracking by Secondary Speckle Pattern Analysis
A new approach for detecting microsaccades is introduced using secondary speckle patterns reflected from the sclera. This method offers potential benefits in capturing subtle eye movements and overcoming limitations in traditional pupil‐tracking systems.

Sensing Dog Brain Reactions to Smell by AI Speckle Pattern Analysis
The setup of our experiment is shown on Labrador, Johny, a canine participant of our research. The schematic of the setup features: green laser, digital camera, source of smell, and computer. Regions of the brain that were tested are highlighted. Note that the hippocampus and amygdala are on both sides of the dog's brain.

Coordination of IFT20 With Other IFT Components Is Required for Ciliogenesis
Intraflagellar transport is a bidirectional transport system essential for ciliogenesis. Using the IFT20 knockout cell lines established in this study, we found that IFT20 deficiency significantly impaired ciliogenesis and reduced cilium length. Further investigation revealed that IFT20 interacted with other IFT proteins and regulated their levels and ...

A CDH23 missense variant in Beauceron dogs with non‐syndromic deafness
Abstract Congenital coat‐colour‐related deafness is common among certain canine breeds especially those exhibiting extreme white spotting or merle patterning. We identified a non‐syndromic deafness in Beauceron dogs characterised by a bilateral hearing loss in puppies that is not linked to coat colour. Pedigree analysis suggested an autosomal recessive

ABSTRACT Hyperpolarized (HP) gas pulmonary MR ventilation images are typically quantified using ventilation defect percent (VDP); however, the test‐retest variability of VDP has not been systematically established in multi‐center trials. Herein, we perform a systematic review of the test‐retest literature on the variability of VDP, and similar metrics,
