Claudin-11 and occludin are major contributors to Sertoli cell tight junction function, in vitro
The Sertoli cell tight junction (TJ) is the key component of the blood-testis barrier, where it sequesters developing germ cells undergoing spermatogenesis within the seminiferous tubules.

Claudin-3 immunohistochemistry in adult WT and SCCx43KO-/- mice.
(A) WT tubule showing an immunopositive reaction in the basal part at stage VIII of the seminiferous epithelium (arrows). Scale bar: 50 μm. The positive immunoreaction in the epididymis confirms the binding specificity of the antibody (A, inset).

Dual Regulatory Functions of Classical Zinc Finger Clusters from Myeloid Zinc Finger‐1
The classical zinc finger (ZF) protein MZF1 uses two ZF clusters to achieve metal‐dependent and gene‐specific promoter recognition. The differential redox stability and modular utilization of the two ZF clusters enable MZF1 to regulate cerebrovascular, neuronal, and cancer‐related transcriptional programs.

Representative photographs of colonic claudin-1, claudin-2 and claudin-3 immunostaining in mice.
Moderate claudin-1 immunostaining was observed in colons from control group (A). The intensity was significantly decreased in colitis group (B), and increased when treated with AMD3100 (C).
