CLEC‐2 is not required for platelet aggregation at arteriolar shear [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, 2010
The C-type lectin receptor CLEC-2 is expressed primarily on the surface of platelets, where it is present as a dimer, and is found at low level on a subpopulation of other hematopoietic cells, including mouse neutrophils [1–4] Clustering of CLEC-2 by the snake venom toxin rhodocytin, specific antibodies or its endogenous ligand, podoplanin, elicits ...

The Role of CLEC-2 in and Beyond the Vasculature

open access: yes, 2017
C-type lectin-like receptor 2 (CLEC-2) is a glycoprotein expressed on the surface of platelets that induces platelet activation including aggregation. Binding of the endogenous ligand podoplanin or the exogenous ligand rhodocytin to CLEC-2 induces tyrosine phosphorylation of the hemITAM motif expressed in its cytoplasmic tail.

A detailed proteomic analysis of rhodocytin-activated platelets reveals novel clues on the CLEC-2 signalosome: implications for CLEC-2 signaling regulation

open access: yesBlood, 2012
Abstract C-type lectin-like receptor 2 (CLEC-2) is an essential platelet-activating receptor in hemostasis and thrombosis that is activated by the snake venom rhodocytin. We present here a differential proteomic analysis of basal and rhodocytin-activated platelets with the aim of providing novel clues on CLEC-2 signaling regulation ...

CLEC-2 expression is maintained on activated platelets and on platelet microparticles [PDF]

open access: yesBlood, 2014
Key PointsCLEC-2 activation induces proteolytic cleavage of GPVI and FcγRIIa but not itself. CLEC-2 but not GPVI is detected on platelet-derived microparticles.

Podoplanin and CLEC-2 levels in patients with COVID-19. [PDF]

open access: yesRes Pract Thromb Haemost, 2023
Podoplanin (PDPN gene) and CLEC-2 are involved in inflammatory hemostasis and have also been related with the pathogenesis of thrombosis. Emerging evidence also suggest that podoplanin can exert protective effects in sepsis and in acute lung injury.

CLEC-2 Supports Platelet Aggregation in Mouse but not Human Blood at Arterial Shear. [PDF]

open access: yesThromb Haemost, 2022
C-type lectin-like receptor 2 (CLEC-2) is highly expressed on platelets and a subpopulation of myeloid cells, and is critical in lymphatic development.

Platelet CLEC-2: a molecule with 2 faces. [PDF]

open access: yesBlood, 2017
In this issue of Blood , Haining et al reveal an unexpected role for platelet C-type lectin-like receptor-2 (CLEC-2) in thrombosis, which is independent of its hemi-immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (hemITAM) signaling ...

AVALIAÇÃO DA EXPRESSÃO DE PODOPLANINA E CLEC-2 NA DOENÇA FALCIFORME

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy, 2023
A hipercoagulabilidade é uma característica importante da doença falciforme (DF), e sua fisiopatologia está relacionada à ativação concomitante da hemostasia e da imunidade inata, em um processo conhecido como imunotrombose.
