Sutimlimab in Patients With Cold Agglutinin Disease (CAD): Results From a Managed Access Program. [PDF]

open access: yesEur J Haematol
ABSTRACT Cold agglutinin disease (CAD) is a low‐grade lymphoproliferative disorder accounting for 15%–30% of patients suffering from autoimmune hemolytic anemias. The clonal B cells produce autoantibodies primarily of the IgM‐κ class that cause agglutination of red blood cells (RBCs) at temperatures ≤ 37°C and activate the classical complement pathway ...

Tunable Switching Mechanisms in HfZrO2‐Based Tunnel Junctions for High‐Performance Synaptic Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates hybrid switching in engineered HZO‐based FTJs, enabled by controlled interlayer design and oxygen scavenging dynamics. The combined switching mechanism produces robust multilevel conductance states in large crossbar arrays, offering a materials‐driven pathway toward scalable in‐memory computing with enhanced tunability and ...

Is there a link between genetic defects in the complement cascade and Porphyromonas gingivalis in Alzheimer’s disease?

open access: yesJournal of Oral Microbiology, 2020
Defects, as determined by Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS), in the complement cascade of innate immunity have been suggested to play a key role in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). These defective genes encode sub-component 1s (C1s), complement receptor 1,

Cell surface expression and function of the macromolecular C1 complex on the surface of human monocytes

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2012
The synthesis of the subunits of the C1 complex (C1q, C1s, C1r), and its regulator C1 inhibitor (C1-Inh) by human monocytes has been previously established. However, surface expression of these molecules by monocytes has not been shown.

Stretchable Energy Storage with Eutectic Gallium Indium Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
A highly stretchable liquid metal‐based electrode is developed via a one‐step process, retaining conductivity and capacitance after mechanical deformation up to 900% strain. The stretchable all‐solid‐state device provides a areal energy density of 43 µWh cm⁻2 after 150% strain.
