A Study of Mixed Platooning Considering Driver Perceptual Uncertainty
Human‐driven vehicles (HDVs) are the most critical element in mixed platoon research for their uncertainty. This paper presents a novel car‐following model that considers the driver’s perceived uncertainty. A mixed platoon model of HDVs and connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) is established.

Data‐driven dual‐loop control for platooning mixed human‐driven and automated vehicles
This paper considers controlling automated vehicles to form a platoon with human‐driven vehicles under consideration of unknown HV model parameters and propulsion time constants. The proposed design is a data‐driven dual‐loop control strategy for the ego automated vehicles, where the inner loop controller ensures platoon stability and the outer loop ...

This paper investigates the challenges associated with the velocity consensus and the lane following in heterogeneous automated vehicles considered as agents of a multi agent system. A cloud‐based distributed model predictive control structure is proposed to address the distributed intrinsic of such systems.

Deep Q‐network learning‐based active speed management under autonomous driving environments
Abstract Efficient traffic safety management necessitates real‐time crash risk prediction using expressway characteristics. With the emergence of autonomous vehicles (AVs), the development and evaluation of variable speed limit (VSL) strategies, a key active traffic management technique, become crucial for enhancing safety and mobility in mixed traffic
