Nanoemulgels are considered as potential and ideal drug delivery systems for the transdermal administration of poorly soluble drugs like lornoxicam. Their intrinsic characteristics, such as small globule size as well as excipient type, make transdermal passage of the drug easier.

Computer simulations predict supramolecular formation of pyrazole‐modified monomers. Based on the simulations, selected monomers are used in the template‐free and facile upscalable precipitation polymerization to obtain anisotropic microgels (from spherical, raspberry‐like to dumbbell‐like).

Purpose. The biopharmaceutics classification system places rosuvastatin calcium in class II has a low and fluctuating oral bioavailability. The research focus is to maximize rosuvastatin calcium solubility in water and dissolution rate by employing and combining various hydrotropic agents to make a solid dispersion using solvent evaporation techniques.

Ternary nanoswitches are realized using PMMA‐b‐PNIPMAM diblock copolymer thin films. Three distinct film states (off, on, and standby) are successfully prepared by the combination of amphiphilicity and co‐nonsolvency effect. The exposure to N2, pure water vapor, and mixed 90 vol% water/10 vol% acetone vapor switches the films between dried, hydrated ...

Microarray Patches: Poking a Hole in the Challenges Faced When Delivering Poorly Soluble Drugs
This review explores the delivery of hydrophobic compounds to the skin using microarray patches (MAPs). Initially designed to load low doses of hydrophilic and potent therapeutic agents, MAPs are now increasingly considered a viable strategy for the delivery of therapeutically relevant doses of poorly soluble drugs. This somewhat unexpected application

Bulbus fritillariae and Radix aconiti praeparata are an incompatible herbal pair in the traditional Chinese medicine theory “eighteen incompatible medicaments,” and they should not be used simultaneously in clinical treatment for safety. This study aimed to investigate the incompatibility mechanism between Bulbus fritillariae and Radix aconiti ...

Thermodynamic Study of Deferiprone Dissolution in Polyethylene Glycol 400 and 2-Propanol Mixture [PDF]
In the current study, the solubility and density of deferiprone were determined in the polyethylene glycol (PEG) 400 and 2-propanol mixtures at 293.2 – 313.2 K using a shake-flask method before a spectrophotometric method.

EXPRORER: Rational Cosolvent Set Construction Method for Cosolvent Molecular Dynamics Using Large-Scale Computation [PDF]
Cosolvent molecular dynamics (CMD) simulations involve an MD simulation of a protein in the presence of explicit water molecules mixed with cosolvent molecules to perform hotspot detection, binding site identification, and binding energy estimation, while other existing methods (e.g., MixMD, SILCS, and MDmix) utilize small molecules that represent ...
