The LDB1 Complex Co-opts CTCF for Erythroid Lineage-Specific Long-Range Enhancer Interactions
Summary: Lineage-specific transcription factors are critical for long-range enhancer interactions, but direct or indirect contributions of architectural proteins such as CCCTC-binding factor (CTCF) to enhancer function remain less clear. The LDB1 complex

This review decodes the grammar of plant cis‐regulatory elements, revealing that their function emerges from sequence, chromatin accessibility, 3D topology, and cell type context. It highlights how single‐cell omics, CRISPR dissection, and AI‐driven design converge to enable predictive engineering and crop improvement. ABSTRACT Cis‐regulatory elements (

Trafficking and potentiation of Nav1.7 and Nav1.8 channels are mediated by IQGAP1
Abstract figure legend IQGAP1 binds to the voltage‐gated Nav1.7 and Nav1.8 channels and TRPA1 channels in sensory neurons. Inflammatory mediators (IM), including PGE2 and TNFα, released during nerve injury and inflammation activate intracellular signalling messengers such as PKA, p38 MAPK and Cdc42 through their respective receptors.

Sex‐stratified analyses of the TCGA and CGGA cohorts have identified promoter‐proximal TACSTD2 CpG sites where methylation shows opposite survival associations in males and females, is independent of copy number, and correlates with TACSTD2 expression.

Untangling Mechanisms of the Architectural Protein CTCF [PDF]
The three-dimensional structure of chromatin regulates gene expression by facilitating contacts between promoters and regulatory elements, demarcating regions of activity and repression and compartmentalising the genome into Topologically Associating ...

Exploring Interactive Effects of Arsenic and Selenium Exposure on Larval Zebrafish (Danio rerio)
ABSTRACT Arsenic contamination in aquatic ecosystems is a major environmental concern. Selenium (Se) helps mitigate oxidative stress and hence could reduce the toxic effects of arsenic. However, Se can also be toxic at high concentrations. Given that these metalloids commonly co‐occur in the environment, there is a pressing need for further research ...

CTCF genomic binding sites in Drosophila and the organisation of the bithorax complex.
Insulator or enhancer-blocking elements are proposed to play an important role in the regulation of transcription by preventing inappropriate enhancer/promoter interaction.
