In vivo and in vitro studies of immune responses induced by normal or attenuated 'Schistosoma mansoni' schistosomula [PDF]
A schistosome vaccine would be of great value in controlling schistosomiasis. Exposure of experimental animals to live gamma-irradiated cercariae (GI) is highly effective and although not logistically feasible for ...

Application of leukocyte filters to obtain a preparation of cytokine-induced killer cells
The ability of cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells to recognize and lyse tumor cells has been shown in preclinical in vitro studies. The database ClinicalTrials.gov currently registers over 600 completed clinical studies on cellular immunotherapy including more than 30 trials with CIK cells ...

Engineering Oncolytic Virus‐Armed Macrophages for Enhanced Cancer Immunotherapy
ZIFOA‐M is engineered by conjugating oncolytic adenovirus‐loaded ZIF‐8 nanoparticles onto macrophage surfaces via bioorthogonal chemistry. Upon tumor infiltration, the platform releases OA to downregulate CD47/CD24 on tumor cells, restoring macrophage phagocytosis.

Genetic Code Expanded T Cell for Controllable Immunotherapy
Our GCE‐CAR‐T cells enables tight, dose‐dependent, and function‐preserving control of CAR expression at the translational level through amber codon suppression and genetic incorporation of ncAA. ABSTRACT Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)‐T cell therapy has demonstrated curative potential against hematologic malignancies, but its clinical application ...

ABSTRACT Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains therapeutically challenging due to high metastasis, recurrence, and immunotherapy resistance driven by tumor microenvironment‐mediated immune evasion. Immunogenic cell death (ICD) offers a promising strategy to reshape the immune microenvironment, yet existing ICD inducers suffer from poor targeting efficiency ...

Cytokine-induced memory-like natural killer cells in systemic lupus erythematosus patients
Background Natural killer (NK) cell abnormalities may contribute to the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Interleukin (IL)-15, an immunoregulatory cytokine crucial for NK survival, is overexpressed in SLE patients.

An endoplasmic reticulum (ER)‐targeted chemodynamic nanoagent (TCBQ/iLD‐ER NPs) comprising •OH‐generating tetrachloro‐1,4‐benzoquinone (TCBQ) and lipid droplets (LDs) formation inhibitor (iLD) is developed for chemodynamic immunotherapy of tumors. After ingestion by cancer cells, TCBQ/iLD‐ER NPs preferentially accumulate in the ER and react with ER ...
