Spatial organization of the synthesis of cytoskeletal proteins
Journal of Cellular Biochemistry, 1993AbstractThe cytoskeleton of most cells is complex and spatially diverse. The mRNAs for some cytoskeletal proteins are localized, suggesting that synthesis of these proteins may occur at sites appropriate for function or assembly. mRNA concentrations were first observed for several oocyte and embryonic mRNAs.

Cytoskeletal Competence Requires Protein Chaperones
2002The cytoskeleton is the internal structure of the cell that makes diverse cellular functions possible. These structures are extremely dynamic, undergoing continual remodelling within the cytoplasm and requiring continual change in the protein-protein interactions as part of their function.

Cytoskeletal Proteins Expressed by Microsporidian Parasites
1992Microsporidians are intracellular parasites characterized by a small missile cell spore that when activated, fires a discharge tube through which infective sporo-plasm is injected into a target cell (Weidner, 1972). Microsporidians develop directly in the cytoplasm of host cells and therefore are not confined to a parasitophorous vacuole.

Lipid Interactions of Cytoskeletal Proteins
2006At least 18 different cytoskeletal proteins have been shown to interact in vitro with, and in some cases are regulated by, specific membrane lipids, mostly phosphoinositides, whose synthesis is themselves regulated by extracellular signals. These lipid interactions are mediated by structurally diverse specific binding sites.
