Iron‐Tannic Acid Hydrogel Mediated Mild Photothermal Therapy Combined With Ferroptosis Enhances Anti‐Tumor Immunity in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An injectable gelatin‐based tannic acid–iron hydrogel with mild photothermal therapy could not only induce immunogenic cell death, but also elicit ferroptosis of both tumor cells and tumor‐associated macrophages, resulting in DC maturation, T‐cell infiltration and down‐regulation of ferroptosis‐sensitive M2‐type TAMs levels.

Comparison of the nutritive value for laying hens of diets containing azolla (Azolla pinnata) based on formultion using digestive protein and digestible amino acid versus total protein and total amino acid

open access: yes, 1999
Azolla (Azolla pinnata) was assessed for nutrient content and feeding value in laying hen diets. Proximate analysis, together with the estimates of digestible protein, ADF, NDF and metabolizable energy indicated that it was a fair source of plant protein

Dual‐Targeting Biomimetic Nanozymes Loaded Microneedle Patch Promotes Scarless Wound Healing Through Anti‐Inflammatory and Anti‐Fibrotic Effects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed a dual‐targeting biomimetic nanozyme hybrid system (Cu‐CeO2@ABs‐FTP) and integrated it with HAMA hydrogel to fabricate a microneedle patch (CAF@MN). The patch promotes fibroblast‐mediated wound repair, targets macrophages to induce M2 polarization, and targets myofibroblasts to exert anti‐fibrotic effects, thereby enabling rapid ...

The BTB/POZ‐MATH Protein ZmBPM1 Interacts With Autophagy‐related Protein ZmATG6 and Modulates the NLR Protein Rp1‐D21‐Mediated Defense Response in Maize

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The maize BTB/POZ‐MATH (BPM) protein ZmBPM1 interacts with autophagy‐related protein ZmATG6 to relocate the NLR protein Rp1‐D21 from the nucleo‐cytoplasmic compartment into autophagosome‐like puncta, leading to autophagy‐mediated turnover and suppressing the hypersensitive response.

The Construction of Joint FAO-IAEA Database on Ileal Digestibility of Protein and Amino Acids in Foods Consumed by Humans: An FAO Perspective

open access: yesLiang you shipin ke-ji
With the global population projected to reach 10 billion by the year 2050, sustainably nourishing the world’s population is one of the most pressing global challenges, further intensified by the acceleration of climate change.

A New Recruitable E3 Ligase UHRF1 Supporting Targeted Protein Degradation: A Minimal Azide as a Recruitment Ligand

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Targeted protein degradation is often limited by the scarcity of usable E3 ligases. Herein, we report the first small‐molecule GPX4 degraders that incorporate either electrophilic warheads or a minimal azide group as an E3 recruitment ligand. The azide‐based degrader DK‐5070 effectively drives potent GPX4 degradation; mechanistic studies reveal that ...

Klotho‐Derived Peptide 1 Protects against Acute Kidney Injury by Directly Targeting Mitochondrial ATAD3A

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers that KP1, a Klotho‐derived peptide, protects the kidney against acute kidney injury, a clinical syndrome with high morbidity and mortality. KP1 enters tubular epithelial cells via endocytosis, directly interacts with the mitochondrial ATAD3A/HIGD2A complex, thereby preventing cytochrome c release, and caspases activation, and ...
